Two (2) Day Tournament - one-off event between Season 1 & Season 2
Saturday & Sunday 5th & 6th July 2025 Between 8:00am to 6:00pm (daily) $24 per TEAM 3-6 Games + Prize for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places Teams must have 6 - 10 players, and ALL players must be current VQ members Team Captain must be 18 years or over |
Tournament Format:
Pool matches will be best of 5 sets, time capped (50 or 60 minutes + warm up)
Qualifiers & Finals matches will be best of 3 Sets (untimed)

Registrations:
Team registrations can be made in the SportsPlus App - LINK at top of page
NOTE:
- Team registration costs $24.
- Team captain is responsible for collecting reimbursement for the team registration fees from individual players.
- Number of teams is capped at MINIMUM 6 teams, MAXIMUM 12 teams - first registered (and eligible), first served.
- If you miss registration please e-mail [email protected] to be placed on a waiting list (include a list of team members).
- Teams must have a minimum of 6 players (all current VQ members) AND the team nomination fee must be paid to be eligible.
- Players may not play for multiple teams.
- Competition is mixed, open format (no divisions).
- Tournament is intended for 'Div 2' social/competitive level competition. Committee reserves the right to review and remove teams 'stacked' with Div 1 players or where the Committee believes safety concerns apply for less experienced players. Notice of any changes will be made to the Team Captain.
- If the minimum number of teams is not achieved or the school hall becomes unavailable the competition may be cancelled.
- If the competition is cancelled or the GVA committee removes a team the nomination fee will be refunded but no other compensation will be provided.
- Teams will have duty (referee & scoring) responsibilities during the competition.
Gladstone Thunder and GVA Management Committee Support:
Gladstone Representative Players (Thunder Members) and GVA Management Committee Members will be supporting this event through provision of (limited) duty roles, Tournament staff and organisation. All our 'staff' are volunteers, so please express your thanks to volunteers on the day. ;-)
Tournament fees do not cover full costs of this event - it is run as a way of providing opportunities to GVA members (who are not representative players) to experience a weekend competition format.
