One (1) Day Tournament - one-off event between Season 1 & Season 2
Sunday 30th June 2024 8:00am to 5:00pm $12 per TEAM 3-4 Games + 1 Sausage per person + Prize for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places (additional sausages & drinks for sale) Teams must have 6 - 10 players, and ALL players must be current GVA members (and VQ members) |
Tournament Format:
Pool matches will be best of 5 sets, time capped (50 or 60 minutes + warm up)
Qualifiers & Finals matches will be best of 3 Sets (untimed)

Registrations:
Team registrations can be made in the SportsPlus App (link HERE):
NOTE:
- Team registration costs $12.
- Team captain is responsible for collecting reimbursement for the team registration fees from individual players (and distributing tickets for sausages on the day).
- Number of teams is capped at 6 teams - first registered (and eligible), first served.
- If you miss registration please e-mail [email protected] to be placed on a waiting list (include a list of team members). If a large number of teams express interest the competition may be expanded to 8 teams.
- Teams must have a minimum of 6 players (all GVA members) AND the team nomination fee must be paid to be eligible.
- Players may not play for multiple teams.
- Competition is mixed, open format (no divisions).
- Tournament is intended for 'Div 2' social/competitive level competition. Committee reserves the right to review and remove teams 'stacked' with Div 1 players or where the Committee believes safety concerns apply for less experienced players. Notice of any changes will be made to the Team Captain.
Sausage Sizzle:
A Sausage Sizzle (sausages and drinks) will be available on the day.
Gladstone Thunder and GVA Management Committee Support:
Gladstone Representative Players (Thunder Members) and GVA Management Committee Members will be supporting this event through provision of duty roles, Tournament staff and a Sausage Sizzle.
Any proceeds from the tournament will go towards subsidising costs for Thunder Members attending away competitions in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
