Seasons run between February and November with breaks for public holidays and school holidays. Our competition on Tuesday & Thursday nights commence from 5:15 & 6pm respectively.
We run 2 seasons a year. Each season has 1-2 casual volleyball rounds, which allow people to try the game, build skill and find or create teams for new individual players. Following this are a series of regular rounds with a round robin format for each division and 1-2 rounds of finals. The finals format varies depending on the number of teams.
Match format (Div 2 & 3) = Fast Fours The first match commences at 5:15pm (Tues) & 6:00pm (Thurs) and all matches finish by 9:00pm. Matches are 40 minutes + a 5 minute warm up. Each match consists of up to 4 sets. Each set is scored first 15 points (minimum margin of 2 points). Games are time capped to finish by the scheduled completion time. After winning 3 consecutive points on serve the server must rotate.
Teams are required to provide a referee and scorer for duty as per the season draw.
