Mission Statement As we are affiliated with Volleyball Queensland we follow their mission statement: To lead and partner growth in participation, performance and profile of volleyball in Queensland.
Objectives / Goals Our aims are to:
deliver quality Volleyball programs for all peoples in the Gladstone Region;
to provide opportunities for players, coaches, referees and administrators to develop Volleyball skills; and
to pursue growth in the profile of volleyball in our region.
Organisation GVA is completely reliant upon a dedicated team of volunteers committed to our vision, goals and values.
Whilst we strive to provide an excellent club experience, we also have day jobs and are doing what we do for the love of the game, so please be patient if things are not perfect. If there's something we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, or if you would like to join our team please have a chat to one of our friendly committee members.
Child Safety All committee members, coaches and administrators within our Organisation must abide by GVA's Child & Youth Risk Management Strategy, which includes:
Holding a Blue Card for working with children (or valid exemption)
Completing online training, and
Reporting through appropriate channels any suspicion of child abuse they form in the course of their duties
playing opportunities
Games GVA has a social volleyball league Tuesday and Thursday nights, with multiple divisions. We also have representative playing opportunities for those that wish to play competitively.
